Good Google News!

The latest version of Google Docs on the iPad now includes real-time spell check. Google has finally added this feature, which is a long awaited and welcome addition for our students and faculty.

To update Google Docs on the iPad:

  • Open the App Store
  • Click on the Updates Button in the menu on the bottom of the App Store
  • Click the Blue Update button to the right of the Google Docs App.

Spread the word and hopefully we will all experience less spelling errors in our iPad lives.

Important – iPad Notability Backup Settings

The most recent update to Notability requires that students re-enable and re-login to Google Drive for backup. These settings are extremely important as they ensure that Notability notes are backed up. This is also a good opportunity to make sure all backup/iCloud settings on the iPad are correct. Please visit the following webpage and walk through these settings with your child. Scroll down and start with the section titled “Notability Settings”. Make sure the settings on the iPad match this section of the site as well as the section titled “iCloud Settings” It is possible that they are already correct, but it is important to double check.
