I loved the discussion we had around this book. It seemed no matter what age students we were teaching, we were all concerned about the diminishing time for unstructured, playful learning. I was reminded of a scene in the movie “The Dead Poets Society” about an all boys high-school where an English teacher (played by Robin Williams) takes the boys on the soccer field and makes them kick a ball while reciting poetry. I continue wondering how to develop activities beneficial to the kinesthetic learners in my class.
